Re-verification is a Phase 2 feature and is not yet live.

How it works

Canvas can re-verify existing group members on a configurable cadence (default: every 30 days). Members receive a Canvas conversation in their DMs. A passing score triggers a payout to the group owner at the same rate as a new join payout. Re-verification runs independently of join verification. Advertisers fund re-verification campaigns separately and can target the same groups or different ones.

Why advertisers fund re-verification

Re-verification produces a different data product than join verification:
  • Longitudinal signals — preference data collected from the same audience across multiple time points
  • Active member count — advertisers can distinguish total group size from members who are still engaged
  • Retention confirmation — a member who re-verifies after 30 days is demonstrably more active than one who joined and went dormant

Revenue

Re-verification scales with group size, not growth rate.
Group sizeEst. re-verifications/month (70% completion)Revenue at $0.10
1,000 members~700$63/month
5,000 members~3,500$315/month
20,000 members~14,000$1,260/month
Members who do not complete re-verification within the window are not removed from the group. Re-verification is a revenue mechanism, not a moderation tool, unless you configure it otherwise.

Mod and admin splits

Re-verification payouts support the same wallet split configuration as join payouts. Moderators or co-admins can receive a percentage of re-verification revenue. Configure splits during Phase 2 onboarding or by messaging @CanvasVerificationBot.
